Testing Accommodations
Students with approved testing accommodations may take exams at CDAR Testing Services. Exams taken with CDAR Testing Services must be scheduled at least 7 days prior to the exam date. Final Exams have a firm scheduling deadline of: Fall 23 Finals Deadline: 11/17/2023. Spring 24 Finals Deadline: 04/12/2024. Scheduling requests will be submitted through the CDAR Access Portal — see Exam Scheduling page. Exam accommodations are assigned individually to each student based on the specific barriers in a course. Students are encouraged to confirm with instructors that time extensions and any other accommodations have been applied in Canvas. Due to space constraints, CDAR Testing Services does not generally schedule unsupervised online exams in the Pitman Center unless there is a specific need. Students needing a location to take an online exam should call 208-885-6307 or email cdar@ngskmc-eis.net for assistance.
Extended time accommodations on exams open for more than 24 hours (typically called a take-home exam) are determined on a case-by-case basis. Students using assistive technology on exams are encouraged to schedule a meeting with the Assistive Technology Specialist to review student need and ensure everything goes smoothly on exam day. CDAR Testing Services works with instructors and the Assistive Technology Specialist to provide accessible exam materials compatible with most assistive technology. Students needing alternative formats for online or take-home exams should email atext@ngskmc-eis.net.

Policy & Procedures
Student will:
- Login to the CDAR Access Portal.
- Click on the Alternative Testing tab on the left.
- Choose the exam scheduling request from the Upcoming Exam Requests list that needs to be cancelled or modified.
- Click "Modify" or "Cancel"
- Complete form.
- Submit.
Designated testing space has been reserved for each scheduled request. Students will have no longer than the time reserved to take their exam.
When taking a restroom break during an exam, the student must take the exam to the proctor to secure until their return. The allotted time for the exam will not be adjusted. During restroom breaks, the student will continue to be held to the U of I Student Code of Conduct.
Students must abide by Article II, Section A-1 of University Of Idaho Student Code Of Conduct.
A-1. Academic Dishonesty. Academic honesty and integrity are core values at a university and the faculty finds that even one incident of academic dishonesty may merit expulsion. Instructors and students are jointly responsible for maintaining academic standards and integrity in university courses. In addition to any disciplinary sanctions imposed under the Code, additional consequences for academic dishonesty may be imposed by the course instructor, including issuing a grade of “F” in the course. Any grade issued by the course instructor, whether as a result of academic dishonesty or not, constitutes an academic evaluation and is not disciplinary action. All instructors must report incidents of academic dishonesty to DOS by email or using the reporting form on DOS website. Acts of academic dishonesty include but are not limited to the following:
a. Cheating includes, but is not limited to, the following:
(1) using any unauthorized assistance in, or having unauthorized materials while, taking quizzes, tests, examinations or other assignments, including copying from another’s quiz, test, examination or other assignment or allowing another to copy from one’s own quiz, test, examination or other assignment;
(2) using sources beyond those authorized by the instructor in writing papers, preparing reports, solving problems or carrying out other assignments;
(3) acquiring, without permission, tests or other academic material belonging to the instructor or another member of the university faculty or staff;
(4) engaging in any behavior prohibited by the instructor in the course syllabus or in class discussion; or
(5) engaging in other behavior that a reasonable person would consider to be cheating.
